Full Officers 1919 Naval Pattern Webbing Webbing
Very nice officers set of 1919 naval Pat webbing, pistol holster, belt , ammo pouch and rare cutlass frog. Condition is very good indeed, hard to upgrade. All items are naval marked, belt dated 1939, holster dated 1938, ammo pouch dated 1923 and the frog dated 1923. This is the way i found this a number of years back so will sell as a comlete set for now, if there is no interest then i will split in the future.
French 1874 Pattern Cuirassier Cavalry Helmet
Nice original example of a metal body French 19th Century cavalry helmet, its survived in good order with a couple of small knocks to the body, im sure you can see then in the photos, the brass front plate has one ding and a small hole from over polishing, chinstrap is very good, plume is sound but has lost some red colour from age, the horse hair crown is in very good condition. The Medussa head has no issues. The liner is in fine but used condition, looks like the inner peak and tail have had a coat of brown paint.
Victorian Royal Irish Rifles Norfolk Style Patrol
Lovely example of a Royal Irish Rifles Norfolk style Patrol jacket, this jacket has no moth or moth tracking, all buttons are blacked Bone, marked to the RIR with Victorian Crown. Cuffs, shoulder boards and under the collar are light green, body is a very dark green. Front has a pleat from top to the bottom front, running thru top and bottom pockets, there is also a pleat running down the middle of the back, stiff collar has two clouser hooks and a hook device just under the left shoulder board, i belive to take the headgear chords .The shoulder boards have two holes to the bottom, i belive for a rank pip. Inside linning is again in very good condition with no damage, no inside pocket. Inside the pocket i found a leather tab which i blive fits behind the neck clouser hooks to protect the uniform. As mentioned this jacket has survived in wonderfull condition, nap to the cloth is very good with minimal wear. These Norfolk patrol type jackets were found to be practical field jacket and these were the first combat type jackets worn by the British Army, id date this one around mid 1890's. [Thanks Pat for the info]
Early Photo HJ/DJ Members Giving Nazi Salute
Interetsing early photo of some HJ/DJ members standing in front of a monument doing the nazi salute. The leader of this pack on the right seems to be wearing the early cloth peaked HJ cap. Has an Aachen area stamp to the rear. Postage and Packing will be £3.
SS Soldbuch ,Pol.Ausb.Kompanie Wien
SS soldbuch to a member of a training police unit in the Austrian capital, first date in the book seems to be Dec 1944, perhaps this is a reissued item. With this came an extra photo of an SS soldier, i myself did belive it was the same person, younger and a bit more weight, but after posting on the ''WAF'' forum the opinions seem to be a relative, this comes of course with the book. This is not a full combat Soldbuch but as mentioned perhaps a second one , so the pages with info are posted here. This will be reflected in the price not forgeting that this is an SS soldbuch even with the SS scratched out on the front cover.
Rare Austrian Anti-Semitic Postcard. 1938.
Anti-Semitic postcard produced in 1938 in Austria, i belive this was produced before the Annexation and was used as propoganda to vote ''yes'' to the Anschluss with Germany. The card has been sent and has 1938 dated cancellation marks. The condition is very good, some slight storage marks, and the cancellation mark can just be seen coming thru the front, a rare survivor of its time. The writing on the left side i cannot translate and have no idea its meaning.
