Vintage Persuader, Cosh.
The item measures just under 17 inches in length. The shaft and weighted end has been covered in a type of skin with the side seam running the length of the shaft. As for date id say at least late 18c or early 19c, cannot say if its a naval used example. I picked it up many years ago and added it to my collection of naval bosuns persuaders at the time.

In very nice condition with a full coat of black finish to the top metal area and hanging loop. The brass plate states its manufacture by Hailwood and its numbered 149. Rare WW2 Allied Military Homeing Pigeon Message Carry Tube.
In very nice condition. As used by Military message services, correspondents, special forces including SOE. I have not tried to undo the fastener as its tight and not been apart since WW2.

Nice condition steel helmet with close to 100% of its black factory finish, inside and out. One stacking rig mark to the top. The inside rim has some faint stamps, its numbered 22 in paint and has the early Vero donut type liner system complete and dated 1939. Sorry but the date is a weak stamp so could not photograph it! In very nice condition with over 95% of its factory grey finish inside and out and just some minor Stacking marks to the outside shell. The inside has very faint stamp marks to the side rim, complete liner system is dated 1940, chinstrap has some storage marks from where its been laying against the liner for a number of years. read more

German WW1 Court Mounted Hindenburg Honour Cross. Next of Kin.
A very nice court mounted example with just one minor rust bleed to the top edge, bit of vaseline will sort this out in a couple of seconds. Ribbon again with just some minor staining from storage. The rear has its period fixing pin with the medal having a clear makers mark. read more
