Father and Son Artillery Grouping with Death Plaque.
This is a small grouping of items that where found during a recent house clearance in the London area. The framed death plaque is named to a Leonard Arthur Rayner who as a member of the 2nd Bat Honourable Artillery Company killed in Belgium in 1917 aged 30. The frame has never been touched, plaque always mounted inside, id say its the cleanest ''death penny'' i have seen. The rest of the paperw... read more
SA Dagger, Carl Schmidt Sohn.
Early pattern example by the firm Carl Schmidt. The blade has a certain amount of staining, old grease and runner marks, some of the factory grain can be seen. The makers details are sharp as is the central motto and its my opinion the tip has been reshaped at some point. The hilt has a certain amount of patina and verdigris, top nut has been moved at least once, eagle and SA roundel are in fin... read more

The front badge is the original period example. The inside skirt has also had this second coat of rough finish up to the liner system. A nice touch to the... read more

WW2 British Chief Wardens Homefront Steel Helmet. 1939.
Shell has had numerous finished during its wartime use, i can see at least three from the black factory finish to two different coats of white. What remains appears to be close to 95% intact with some major crazing. The white finish has been applied to the outer skirt with a good amount ending up on the liner system. The first pattern liner is complete and supple, its dated 1939 with makers det... read more
