British Boer War Period Medical Chest.
In used condition with the Khaki waterproof material having some heavy staining to one side at the top, perhaps from being carried. One side has come adrift at the top frame. The heavy webbed strap is held in place with three metal plates one being marked to SGT J.Norris, M.S.C. British Parachutist Helmet Lightweight. M76.
In nice condition, its been well used as seen with the condition of the liner and straps. The outer finish is smooth, not the very rough finish found on later models but all liner bolts having been painted at the factory. No labels to be found inside. The homemade DPM cover was found inside the crown of the helmet and would appear to have had a net stitched over it at one point. read more
