Named RAF Pilot Officer Tunic and Trousers Set. DFC, Vulcan Pilot.

In very nice condition with great nap to the uniform material and no moth nips or damage. The period set of wings and DFC ribbon bar are both period applied. The uniform is made by the firm Gieves and has a clear makers label to the inside pocket with the pilot officers name and a 1965 date. The trousers again in very nice condition. Nice early rig with the aluminium buckle having sharp detail to the pebbled background field and central design, if looking for any blemishes then it will take you some time! The rear of the buckle has its back bar and both fixing prongs, no makers details found. Boer War/ WW1 Period Named and Regimental Marked Clasp Knife. Buffs.

The number might suggest that ''Ford'' served during the Boer war but his numbering might also suggest an early WW1 period. The knife has had lots of service with both blade and tin opener seeing better days, neither is maker marked. The most interesting thing of course is the name, regiment and regimental number that could make this a nice item to research!  read more
