A well worn cap that has a great shape with a couple of moth nips. The biggest moth damage is to the rear on the top with a good nip along the edge of the visor and along the back edge along the sweat shield. This example like the Greek Gras bayonet listed came from a pub wall recently. The bayonet is in good condition with the socket free from pitting, the blade is full length with its tip but has received a bit of water damage along the flat side but like the Gras has had a coat of stain along the blade. Paybook and Service book to a Bristol lad who joined the REME in 1948 and served in Egypt from 49 till 52. Would appear to have served a longer time in the Reserves. Oh and apparently he was a naughty boy at one point losing his stripes. Condition is good with the paybook being well used and loose pages.  read more
