1940 Dated NFS Steel Helmet. District 24, Worcester.
Helmet has over 90% of its period factory finish to the outside shell with no dents etc just the usual scrapes etc from time and use. The two front decals are close to 100% complete with sharp clear details. Inside shell has lost most of the finish to the inside crown area, good finish to the outside with the users ID number. Ive had this in my collection for a number of years as its one of the best POW items ive come across for a long time. A very nice Verner's type compass made by the firm Barnes & Morris and dated 1917. The brass body has over 80% of its period black finish with a clear and working ''dry'' dial inner.
