Federal Republic of Germany Order of Merit, comman
Both orders are in great condition with no damage to the enamel or knocks to the metal work, ribbon is complete and has both fastening buckles to the back, the star order has a Silver 800 mark to the rear under the catch. The boxes are in good condition, complete with only the minimal of wear, both have the makers stamp to the rear for the firm Steinhauer and Luck. Nice examples of the highest awards bestowed by the Federal Goverment.
Imperial German Low Cut Leather Marching Boots.
Considering the age of these boots, 100 years, then they have survived in very good condition with supple leather and with only a couple of field repairs near the ankles. The leather soles are inj nice condition with the heels being repaired at one time with thick rubber type material and four interesting cleats. The size is a guess as they measure around 12 inches from front to back along the sole and id say 4 inches across. A nice set to finish off a German unifrom.
Prussian Belt and Buckle, Named and Regimental Mar
This is in very nice condition and has not been messed with over the years. The buckle is in super condition, in my opinion i doubt if its been polished in nearly 100 years. The belt i would class as his parade or walking out example, its again in untouched condition, sized to the front in pen. The owners paper name tag can be found to the inside which has suffered from the buckles fixing prongs rubbing against it, the name has gone but the mark for the 11th company, Regiment 93 is clear enough.
Prussian WW1 Belt and Buckle, ''Hate'' Belt, RFC I
Very nice British souvenir, sometimes referred too as a hate belt. The late war steel buckle has nice finish remaining retaining part of its marked leather tab, the belt is supple having lost its buckle retaining strap, buckle prongs have been pushed through the belt body. To the belt has been added a number of badges, one has been lost. The RFC reference in the title is due to the addition of the cap badge, two buttons and the very scarce RFC shoulder title to the belt. Also to note is the Isle of Man Police button added.
LDV Circular Distributors Side Bag, RAF 1925 Patte
A 1925 pattern rucksack bottom thats been used by a messenger attached to an early LDV unit. Condition is complete and in used condition, various markings including the RAF number and wording ''back'', carry strap machine sewn to the sides. Interesting use of old pattern equipment.
British 1903 Pattern Bayonet in Naval Frog.
Condition is very good with the wood slab grips having only the slightest briusing and knocks, no chips. The pommel and cross guard have a nice amount of original bluing, some slight pitting to one side of the pommel near the top only, fixing button works freely. The blade again in very nice condition with no pitting and a good amount of its factory finish, numerous markings including the Wilkinson makers mark. Letter ''J'' stamped along one side of the metal running behind the grips. The top of the pommel is stamped EDF for the firm Enfield who during the years 1903 to 07 had a contract to convert the 1888 pattern over to the 1903, apparently this was done to just over 66,000 bayonets. The leather scabbard is supple and is dated 04, all stitching tight with the naval type frog again in supple condition, does have the remains of a three digit number stamped to one side. A very nice and rare example. p.s. May i thank Dane for the above info on these converstions. FOR SALE TO UK AND OVER 18's ONLY.
