NSADP Long Service Award, 10 Years.
Bronze, 10 year NSDAP long service award thats in stunning condition, id say at least 98% of its bronze wash remains , the ring is number stamped ''7''. This is a zing made medal so the amount of finish remaining is indeed a nice suprise. The medal will come with a ribbon but i do not belive its original. This example has been given glowing reviews on the WAF military forum, 100% correct and in near mint condition.
Late War German M42 Combat Helmet
This example is in very nice , never messed with, combat helmet. This late war M42 helmet was nevr issued with a decal and is maker marked to the rear of the shell, hkp62 and has a lot numer 3477. The shell has over 80% of its original paint finish with the missing paint being on the outer skirt, the paint has lots of its rought finish, the shell has not been cleaned, the usual skuff markings to the crown. The liner pins are tight and have never been re-bent or touched , the liner is in very supple condition with a nice cream colour, liner tie is original to the helmet, it has the initial M written on one tounge. The chinstrap appears to be original to the helmet, its in supple condition but missing its tip to the long section. The remains of a dome stamp can bee seen to the inside crown area. Purchased this week and one that nearly went into my collection due to the very nice condition but im afraid you cant keep them all.
German Lkp W100 Leather Flying Helmet.
Recent ''walk in'' to my shop is this nice and quite scarce Luftwaffe headger being a Lkp W100 helmet as used during the Battle od Britain. This was found in a garage and has some minor damage. The leather is in good supple condition but has suffered from some moth damage to the inside sheep skin making it thru to the leather leaving one small match head size hole and some weak surrounding leather, nothing major and does not detract from the overall look, its my belief that this would come back to life with just a little care. All buckles and straps are present but have rusted from age, i have not tried to move them, the upper steel buckle on the front has sufferd from rust and has been period sewn down with one stitch by the original owner.Bakelite ear cups have no issues. The throat mike is again in sound condition but the straps that hold the mike around the throat has some fraying around the loom area, but still usable. The long loom area has again frayed but has a long length, no jack. Inside sheep skin lining is in very nice condition except for one area as mentioned, this has damaged the inside label , this is the result of the moth damage to one small area when the cap was laid down flat over the years. The size stamping says 57. A good all round example that has never been in any collection before and one thats getting hard to find.
NS Manufactured Heer SD M42 Combat Helmet.
This example has around 97% of its original rough finish, colour is still matt with very little patina from handleing. The NS decal is again in very good condition, id say 95% remaining. All liner pins are present and tight, all original to the helmet, one pin has lost its head to the back, slight ring of rust surrounding this pin. The crown has had what appears to be some white paint, its been wiped off, some of this paint can be seen on the inside crown, nothing new to see when these lids were around during the vet painting his house. The liner is marked size 58 and is still cream in colour, some wear to the outer edges and one small cut, half inch, to the front. Original liner tie in place. Sorry but cannot see a maker or date to the zinc liner frame, i do not try and pry the liners for details on my helmets in my collection. NS makers stamp is faint to the side and lot number is stamped to the rear, D314. A very nice example that has to find a new home due to my hemet addiction ''forceing'' me to add two new camos to my collection. ON HOLD FOR GARY......
Luftwaffe Other Ranks Side Cap.
Nice original Luftwaffe side ap thats in very nice condition, some wear the the outside nap to the material, one small moth hole to the side. The insignia is hand stitched with the roundel just being held on by a couple of threads. Inside liner again in used condition, makers details are there but unreadable. A sound used example.
