Very early nice enamel party pin thats has a fine detailed front, the back is maker and Ges.Gesch marked, the pin has a repair to the rear but this looks period in my opinion. Anyway its a nice early one, priced according to the rear.

AM 1940 Marked Large Brush for Cleaning the Sole o

AM 1940 Marked Large Brush for Cleaning the Sole o

For the collector who has everything and needs to add a quirky item into the mix. Here is a large wooden brush that is AM marked and dated 1940. I pressume the four holes are to take screws for fitting to a doorway, the brush then being used to clean the soles of a dirty boot or shoe, size id say is around 10 to 12 inches long.

WW2 Navigators Sight Log Book, Canadian Mosquito S

WW2 Navigators Sight Log Book, Canadian Mosquito S

Sight log book named to an navigator who flew Mosquitos for Canadian squadron W/418 during WW2. The book is in very nice condition, no pages missing and starts on the date 6.4.43. there are 8 pages filled ending on 3.6.43 , signed off by a F/Lt. Inside the log book i found a 1944 dated Evening Standard with a write up on two mosquitos from ADGB who managed to destroy some german JU87 aircraft the day before, the picture on the front includes Flying officer T.Rees, navigator of the plane that shot down two aircraft. After a little search it would appear that less than a month after the write up in the paper the mosquito he was flying in was shot down by flak over Belgium after destroying more JU 87's on the ground, his Canadian pilot, F/Lt W.J.Harper was also lost. Rees was from Tregaron in Cardiganshire. This has never been in a collection before and im sure more research can be done.

WW2 RAF Flying Boots

WW2 RAF Flying Boots

A very nice pair of Air Ministry flying boots that are in super condition, the only damage is a small hole tapped nto each side of the heal, Top leather outer skin is like new, no stains, holes or snags and in very supple condition, inside sheep skin again in very nice condition. The rubber type uppers to the boot has no damage and again is in supple condition, no cracking etc. Soles have some ware but are in sound condition. I belive these are a size 7 but look slightly bigger to me. Both tounges are AM marked as are both zips. These came into my shop yesterday by a spritly 84 year old gent who joined the RAF in 1945, he use to mountain climb for the RAF and wore these on his long trips into Scotland adding leather straps to make them fit better on his feet, it would be easy to fill the holes if you wished.
