3 X RAF Flying Gloves including ''D-Type'' Leather Gauntlets. Derrick Norrington DFM. KIA 1943.
A well used set of gloves once belonging to Navigator Sgt Dennis Norrington who flew in Lancasters during WW2 being shot down in 1943. The D-Type gauntlets are heavy with staining with one hole to the right side thumb top, both have black stained RAF stores labels inside with details gone, tight stitching. The white cloth Aircrew inner gauntlets again with some staining and are size stamped 2.... read more
RAF Silk Flying Scarf. Dennis Norrington DFM, KIA 1943.
This silk scarf started out as a silk wind tunnel with the end tie ropes cut off and shortened at the front with a cut to the material. The item measures at least 60 inches in length and makes a perfect scarf. Is this a prosumption my end? yes it is but with it being found amongst other flying gear belonging to RAF Navigator Norrington id say 90% correct. WW1 Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry Metal Picture Frame.
In goof condition with a good amount of period finish to the metal surround with a clear and detailed badge to the bottom. To the rear can be found its period backing with the bottom edges having been crimped in slightly to keep the back in place due to the lose of side fastening brackets. It would appear that at one point this frame held a saucy picture with the remains stuck in side of the gl... read more

1915 War Service Badge and Photo of Recipient Wearing The Badge.
These two items came my way a few days ago from a friend who does house clearance, found together and in my opinion the same badge seen worn in the photo. An added detail is the ''Dura Ltd'' stamp to the back of the photo as Dura photo studios had numerous outlets in the Valleys of South Wales. read more

Nice displayable piece of Homefront social history being a ladies belt made from three colour material and what appears to be a piece of aircraft pexiglass for the front buckle. The hand made sand bag material envelope has a clear cloth label stitched to the outer with its stamp and cancelation mark. Also found inside is a small letter dated 1944. read more

WW1 1918 Dated Studio Photo. Boy Cameron Highlanders.
Well this is a really sweet studio photo of a young lad in the Cameron Highlanders proudly wearing his ''Tam O Shanter'' Cap and uniform. The back hasd a clear 1918 date stamp. Condition is good with one corner damaged. One would hope that being such a late date this ''young un'' survived the war.

Early ''C-Type'' Flying Helmet with Bennett Buckle.
A well used example, please check the photos for details, with some salvageable bits including the side ear cups, back straps and buckles etc. Perhaps even a restoration project. This came my way when i purchased it off the daughter of the veteran, nothing special but i was really miffed when she stated her father was a Para in WW2 and she had sold everything else off over the years.
