1930's Large Demley Artillery Field Gun Table Top Lighter.
A very nice and accurate model Large Table Top lighter field gun made by the American firm Demley. The finish is close to 100% present with its camo stripes with a certain amount of spotting from age. The plinth measures 7.5 X 4 inches, height again around 4 inches. WW1 Officers Photo Group with Poignant Condolence Letter on Loss of Son.
This little lot turned up recently at a local flee market so i presume the Young officer and his officer father where from the surrounding area. The young officer would appear to have been in the Artillery and from the photos came from a well to do family. In very good condition with a straight body and complete leather cover, some wear to the surface, no lifting. The focus is clear and sharp, focus ring tight as is the central bar. The original leather case has lots of wear and part of its carry strap but im sorry to say the case is missing its lid. read more
