WW2 Merchant Navy Document Grouping. Normandy Sword Beach landing, Troopship Isle of Jersey.
This group turned up just before Christmas from a house clearance in the Newport area. The documents relate to a seaman who started his naval career in 1925 until his last ship in 1965. Of interest are the details of his wartime service on the troopship Isle of Jersey from 1941 to 45, this would include the trip on the 8th of June 1944 to Sword Beach during the Normandy landings. RAF Beret.
1952 dated RAF beret that's in very nice condition. I can just make out the 52 date under the sweat shield but cannot make out the makers details. The front badge has been hand sewn. Nice having a pre Elizabeth example still carrying a Kings Crown badge. read more

British Named 1918 Dated Binoculars and Matching Case.
Quite a nice matching set with the binoculars in near perfect condition with all details clearly stamped to both end caps with matching data stamped to the leather case, again in very nice complete condition. Both the binos and case are named to the same officer. Optics are clear and the focus sharp with a clear internal graticule to the vision. Perfect WW1 example. read more
