The blade with early Eickhorn trade mark stamp is very clean with minimal staining and sharp points and edges to the top sawback teeth. Cross guard and pommel again with minimal staining. Hardback outer is very clean with a very nice spine and gold details as is the front Kamen Coat of arms. The inside sheet with Burgermeister name and stamps has had the participants name cut out, nothing strange there for such a small town of less than 40'000. WW1 Allied British Trench Watch.
A very nice pocket type watch with side loops for use as a wrist watch. The glass has some surface wear as expected from a well used example, inner dial is clean with all details. Scarce cross with close to 100% of its period factory finish to the iron center. The tight two piece frame has sharp beading detail with the outer taking on a dark tone from patina. The ring has a clear 76 stamp for the firm Muller. Comes with a nice length of period ribbon. read more
