I would suggest that this example has been worn but light service wear. The felt body has one good moth nip to the top area on one side but this has not gone through, you might find a couple of very light track marks but nothing that stands out, inside again just some minor track marks. This is a gorgeous massive Victorian example thats in very nice condition considering its age folks. The just over 11.5 inch blade has some minor staining with its factory buffed grain still visible. Cutting edges have not been sharpened, just a couple of tiny knocks from storage, blade has its period tip. Blade has no makers stamps or other details. 1935 Dated German Black Leather Carry Box. Cardiff Royal Signals Veteran Bring-Back.

The leather box measures 4 x 5 x 9.5 inches and was made by wartime leather equipment maker R.Larsen of Berlin and is dated 1935. Condition is good with just one 3 inch split to the seam on one corner. As for what this box was made for i have no idea but what i find interesting is the side buckle as its the same size and pattern used by R.Larsen during there production of German combat helmets ...  read more
