Imperial German M1895 Backpack.
In very good condition with the canvas front with minimal staining and no holes, all leather fittings and metal rings are present, the back animal skin is again in nice condition, the bacl top leather is maker marked and dated 1917. Inside pockets are complete with the only damage is a loose leather ring , this can be found inside. The only issue is the missing back straps which can be an easy find as WW2 examples fit fine and would finish this example off for display on your mannequin or display area.
German M42 Combat Helmet.
Super paint finish on this no decal late war M42 with the makers stamp HKP64 stamped to the rear skirt. I d say there is over 95% of its original flat coloured rough paint finish to the outside and inside of the shell. Pins are original to the helmet, there tight, liner has had some use as seen in the pics, one slight tear to the crown area , liner is slightley sweat stained but the blonde colour is still strong. There is the remains of a dome stamp to the inside crown. Just a couple of paint drops to the crown. A very nice untouched example and one im sorry to let go of.
M35 Reissue Combat Helmet, Ex Rubber Banded.
A super combat helmet that shouts out ''been there done that''. It started out as an apple green double decal helmet that at some point has had a field applied coat of paint to tone down the original finish, the paint went over the two decals, both decals can be seen under the paint. The really neat bit is that the soldier applied a rubber band onto the lid whilst the paint was still wet leaving a really nice indentation were the band once was. The outer paint has well over 80% remaining with many chips and surface scratches from its long life in combat. The inside skirt was also painted leaving a finger print in the paint and lots of paint on the early single banded alu liner frame and square chiinstrap bales, inside crown has the first apple green finish. Liner is in very good condition with only one tounge tip pulled thru, the liner string is the original and is well stained from use over the years. Chinstrap i would say is original to the helmet but has broken near the end of the long strap, its maker marked and dated 1942. Helmet is maker marked SE62 and has a lot number of 3607. This helmet is from my collection, im having to thin out due to certain circumstances, IMHO the lid has had two coats of reissue paint, i belive its also had 2 army decals applied, its difficult to see but under a good loop im sure you will agree, the area around the decals have not been ''dug'' at, it just the reaction between the coats and decals, i have not looked for a date or maker on the liner band as IMO there is no need to. What your looking at here is a super ex band M35 thats seen plenty of action and one that reminds me of the early photos from Stalingrad, sorry for going over board here but this is one has been with me a long time.
German M42 Steel Combat Helmet. EF.
EF produced M42 lid thats in very nice condition, its a size 62 and has over 95% of its original factory paint to te outside and inside of the shell, some minor abrasions as expected from combat usage. The shel is lot numbered to the rear 1387, not sur if this puts it into the decal area, under a loop im sure i can see just the smallest amount of decal, this one has not been scrapped due to late war regulations , M42 EF's are well know for poor decal adhesion, if so then the decal on tis example must have just fallen off. Inside has its original liner thats never been removed, condition matches the overall appearence with the shell, it has two intials to one tounge, RF. The chinstrap is a late war pig skin example thats had a repair to the centre, steel buckle has a good amount of its original grey paint. The shell has one bullet strike to the bottom right hand skirt, there appears to be some small droplets of blood to the liner. This is a very nice late war example of a German combat helmet.
Home Front, Civil Defence Steel Helmet, ''Mushrooo
Well it does look like three mushrooms to the front folks!! Now for the helmet. The shell has nearly all its factory grey finish inside and out, some minor wear to the outside paint,no evidence of another colour underneath, its dated 1940. The inside has a very clean 1938 dated first pattern liner, the chinstrap is also very clean, all components match in condition. The front has had three symbols stencilled in an off white/cream colour, i have no idea of what the symbols mean im afarid to say.

Item is not wrinkled but the shadows produced from the poster being storred wrapped around the top wooden hanger. Rabbit Fur Flying Gloves, WW1?
A super pair of leather gloves that have rabbit skins hand sewn to the outside. the condition is very good but a couple areas of the hand stitching has come loose from the finger area. These look identical to WW1 and WW2 military issued gloves that have been field modified perhaps for the RFC. This pair have no markings at all so i cannot claim that these are WW1 RFC issued items but lots of these were private purchase or field made items as seen in lots of photgraphs from the time, im not going to be selling them for £300 plus either as some sites. A nice example that would look great on any WW1 RFC display. Was priced at £145
