German 1934 Dated Brown Leather Luger Holster.

German 1934 Dated Brown Leather Luger Holster.

In very nice untouched condition with supple leather and tight stitching, faint 1934 date to the rear and unreadable makers details. The holster has not only its great condition going for it but to find a brown coloured example is very hard as the majority of these were dyed black after a change of regualtions.

M38 Gasmask , Canister, Anit Gas Cape and Pouch. U

M38 Gasmask , Canister, Anit Gas Cape and Pouch. U

Something i find a bit special is this recent find from North Germany, its untouched since 1945 and never been apart. The canister has suffered from storage as seen in the pics but when the cape pouch is moved around the original factory finish has survived hidden behind it. The inside has suffered very lttle from this storage, cannot find a date under the paint and in not going ''digging'', the top still contains the original spare lenses for the mask, the compartment is named twice. The mask is in very nice condition with no hard or brittle areas, mask still supple and the head straps still have there elasticity, various stamps and a nice clear 1944 date to the lens. Mask filter again in very good order with a clear May 1945 stamp to it,and lastly its original rare gas cleaning cloth in the bottom with various stamps to it. Im amazed these were still being issued two months before the war ended. The gas cape and pouch have been attatched to the canister since the end of the war, i have no doubt about this! The pouch has markings to the inside but i can only open one popper and do not wish to damage the pouch by forcing the popper open, clear eveidence of the cape being held in place by the pouch and leather strap, its a pity but a mouse tried to make a meal of one corner, its must have been hungry!! So ,we have a semi relic time machine here, and if untouched artifacts are your thing then here you are!

1943 Dated German Water Bottle, Unissed Condition.

1943 Dated German Water Bottle, Unissed Condition.

Bottle and all components do appear to be in unissed condition, i cannot find a fault with this rig except for some slight paint finish lose to the aluminium cup. All snaps are in working condition and the felt body has the same date and makers stamps as found on the neck of the water bottle itself , leather straps are supple and free of damage and as mentioned the cup has only the smallest of paint lose. Would be very hard to upgrade this example.

British Camo, French Made, Vietnamese Para Smock.

British Camo, French Made, Vietnamese Para Smock.

Yep its a mouth full but this is what ive learnt on this item. I bought it from someone who thought it was a Belgium smock, i could'nt find the pattern and after some time on the web a Knowledgeable camo collector informed me of the following. The material is British made and supplied after WW2 to the French military, the French were then fighting in Indo China were they produced these para smocks for there Vietnam paratroopers fighting with them against the communist forces. Now to the jacket. The colours are strong leading me to belive its not had much use, there are no holes or snags, one shoulder board at some point had white paint splatter that the collector penned over, the rear tail is present as are all poppers, inside neck material is complete but i belive the zip has been replaced. There is no size label but i would put it at a 42. An interesting para smock with loads of interesting history!

RAF Pattern KD Forage Cap, Middlesex Reg Cap Badge

RAF Pattern KD Forage Cap, Middlesex Reg Cap Badge

A well used 1950's RAF KD forage cap used by a member of the Middlesex Regiment. The cap badge would appear to have been on this cap for many years and i have no issues with an RAF cap being utilised by lots of diffrent British units, especially one that would be useful in the field. It has been suggested that the SAS also used these but as an old ex miltray mate of mine noted the SAS would be given any old gear to use during this period after WW2.

US Military Combat Helmet.MICH.

US Military Combat Helmet.MICH.

Helmet is in very nice condition with a rough textured paint to the outside, i pressume this one has had a number of over paints at some point, holes to the front for taking night vision goggles with velcro pads for taking insignia. The inside has its original strapping and head pads, all in very good condition. This was recently brought in by a british veteran who now does close protection work and has upgraded his headgear, this was surplus to requirement.

Trousers Drill, SCC Green, 1950 Pattern.

Trousers Drill, SCC Green, 1950 Pattern.

These 1951 dated trousers are in very nice condition and are part of a large grouping of uniforms i was lucky to purchase from 85 year old Major Brooks who served from 1948 till the 80's, Korea eing one of his tours.

British Post War Para Smock, ''Old Pattern''.

British Post War Para Smock, ''Old Pattern''.

Smock is in very nice condition with bright colour to the camo pattern, all fastening snaps are present and in working condition, front zip again in working condition; rear tails is present. Clear tailors label to the inside , made by the firm James Smith of Derby, sized at a medium. There is aname written to the inside collar area. Now why would a postwar firm make a second pattern para smock example is anyones guess as postwar smocks are usually the first pattern type with sock cuffs, perhaps just a run over of WW2 pattern?
