Gold Wound Badge, L53.
A very nice tombak LDO marked gold wound badge, with a good amount of gold finish remaining to the front and nearly 100% to the rear. The back has its original pin and catch and a clear L/53 stamp. From the condition to the rear id say this has never been issued but the front finish has sunk into the front body.
Boxed Entry Into Czechoslovakia Medal and Castle B
Well i cannot find any issues with this example, super box with no damage and the inside cloth hinge is complete. Again the medal and bar are crisp and bright with no loss of finish just a couple of very small areas of tarnish, period ribbon has its top fastening pin.
Krim Arm Shield. Army Backing.
Army backed Krim shield thats in very nice condition with a good amount of its original finish, no dinks or scrapes. The rear still has its original paper backing and all four prongs can be seen. The arm cloth surrounding the shield has good knapp and only a few moth nips to the top right hand corner.
Hitler Youth Photo Album, Fahrten Mit Der Hitler J
Now im sure this is the last of my HJ photo albums i use to collect. This one has a mix of period photos and the usual post cards picked up along his journey, all pags are captioned. There are over 85 period photographs, most are camp related and show some very nice uniform detail from the early years, the post cards number over 33. A very nice example.
12 X 1930's German Film Stars Autographed Photo Ca
All of the autographs are from film stars who were active in Third Reich movies from 1933 till 1945, some more active than others. I did spend a couple of interesting hours looking at the careers of these stars and movies they stared in. Hermann Braun for instance was the first choice to take the leading role in the movie Hitler Quex, he apparently showed little sympathy with the Third Reich and left film work to join the army, later becoming an officer , he was KIA in 1945. Another interesting story is that of Austrian born Lizzi Waldmuller who was killed in an allied bombing raid. All cards are in very nice condition with clear autographs to the front, one has a little sentiment written on the back to the young girl who collected these during those ''TR'' years. This German lady i met over 20 years ago when she ran a local militaria shop in the same antique centre i work in now, here name is on the back. A nice instant collection. There are actually 13 cards but one is not autographed, she must have missed this one!!
Wehrpass, Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, KIA Russia.
Very nice clean wehrpass to a young Luftwaffe lad who was transfered to the LAH and killed in Russia in 1943. In the back are some photos of the lad, one in HJ uniform , one in his SS uniform and a nice SS group shot in the field. Also included is a photocopy of a letter sent by his company commander to his mother explaining how and when he was killed, this comes with a translation of the letter. A very nice example.
Totenkopf Photo Album, Poland.
A good period photo album for a member of the Totenkopf Regiment. The beginning starts with what appears to be training in Poland, a few really nice photos of MG08 training . Good uniform detail including the use of vertical Totenkopf collar patches. The album then changes , still in Poland, Warsaw i belive, this series of photos have what appear to be postmen and Police. There are also a couple of clear shots of two TK members on motorcycles , i belive the original owner must have had duty in protecting Polish postal workers in Poland, anyway thats my guess. Lastly there is 1946 dated hand written letter from a US zone camp, lucky fella not only survived his time with the Totenkopf but also escaped the Russians. Total of 50 pics.
