German Cross in Gold, No20, Zimmerman.
Classic 4 rivet Zimmerman Gold Cross with a really nice patina and no damage. Its definitely seen service wear as can be seen by the numerous small marks to the enamel swastika, silver plate behind has some minor loss, gold wreath has most of its original gold finish. the back has nice patina and the catch and hinge is in very good order, the pin is marked to the rear number 20. A very nice example thats never been in a collection before. This was brought into my shop recently, the young gent was given it by his Grandmother , his Grandfather had brought it back after the war as a momento. Good job i only collect German combat lids as this would have sat in my collection cabinet for some time.

Shoulder boards have a single NCO pip and metal ''15's''. The inside liner is again in very nice condition with clear makers label, inside the pocket is a very clear label dated 1938 with the owners rank and name. Shooting lanyard is in sound condition with no issues. The cap again in nice condition with some fading to the crown and just a couple of moth nips, piping colour strong. British AC900, SF/CCT, Helmet and Cover.
In very nice used condition with no damage to the body or inner liner system this is a really early 1999 dated example, its the first pattern with rubber pegs holding the liner in place. Both the liner and helmet shell are clearly marked and dated. With this comes a very nice field made desert camo cover, the tie string is present but will need to be dug out of the edge, ive done this but to place the cover back on the helmet the string pops back into the fold. Cover has nice wear pattern to the edge showing that both have been together for some time. These helmets are described as being used by Special Forces , have a quick ''butchers'' on the internet folks.
