Picked this little group up yesterday during a stint at my local flee market. I do find it interesting in that 1983052 CPL S.PARRY from Risca South Wales, served in the RMRE 101 company as attested by a letter to his widow from an Officer who commanded his unit. 1948 Dated Northampton General Hospital War Memorial Appeal Collection Box.

A neat collection box used by Northampton hospital to collect funds for the construction of war memorial. iI would rate the condition as nice with the expected storage marks and a written date of 1948 on the back that opens to take the donations out. Its a piece of British post war social history for sure, notice the amount of £250,000 needed , thats one hell of a lot of money in any terms!  read more
