Named 1914 Active Service Testament and Photo. Monmouthshire Regiment.

Recently being found during a local Newport house clearance is this named 1914 dated Active Service Testament and group photo of members of the Monmouthshire Regiment. The photo is interesting as the soldier sitting far right is wearing a 2 bar IGS and most probably an ex member of the SWB regiment and at least one is wearing a collar dog as a cap badge, guy sitting far left. 3rd Pattern Commando Dagger.

This one at some pint had the handle redone using leather washers much like the WW2 American dagger handle pattern. The machine ground blade as been re-tipped, sides sharpened with a good amount of it's dark finish remaining with some slight surface rust. M34 Square Dip Feuerschutzpolizei Helmet.

A WW2 example with black satin finish ,close to 100% complete. No decals, perhaps once has, I think not. Someone has had a slight look me thinks. The inside is complete with supple liner and a complete chinstrap. Inside orange cushion band has fallen off. A nice example in my honest opinion.  read more
