1970's RN Service Certificate, white top Cap and photo. HMS Fife. Mountain Ash, Glamorgan.
Purchased off a local family of the person who served in the Royal Navy in the 70's . Included is the veterans white top flat cap with HMS FIFE tally, he served on the ship from 1971 till 1973, large photo and Service certificate. Named 1916 Dated Compass and Pouch. Machine Gun Corps.
A very nice 1916 dated compass with its period leather pouch both named to a J.T.Scriven who was a member of the M.G.C. It would seem the compass was handed down, reused, on at least one occasion as there does appear to be at least two other names written to the lid of the case, at least one being another member of the M.G.C. Bronze Mothers Cross with Paper Packet of Issue.
A very nice set with the cross having clean and undamaged enamel and all its bronze finish, comes with its period length of ribbon. The Souval paper packet again in nice condition with good color and detailed makers stamp to the rear, Top has not been ripped open but does have a minor tear either side that the point of the envelope fits. read more
