Luftschutz M38 Gladiator Helmet.
A nice barn find semi relic Gladiator helmet with some of its blue finish showing through the surface rusting. Shell has no dents or cracks and the three liner pins are tight. Decal to the front is close to 100% complete with sharp detail. The inside of the helmet has its period liner with some damage and its complete leather chinstrap, a bit dry. Rare Souvenir Bracelet from the KDF Ship Wilhelm Gustloff, 1938.
This rare bracelet compromises 12 enameled white metal linked signal flags spelling WILH GUSTLOFF and the German national emblem with sprung clip. Measures just under 8 inches in length. Built in 1937 and used as the flag ship of the DAF she entered service in 1938 and was used for State relaxation for just under 2 years. To celebrate a KDF cruise to Norway in 39 this event badge has to be one of the best design when it comes to the 3D effect with the bow of the ship coming out of the badge and the effect using the color tones in the background were the dark finish must be applied to the whole badge and then wiped to revile the highlights, lots of work in my opinion. Semi Relic WW2 Luftwaffe Belt and Buckle.
This set appears to have laid around in a shed or barn for a number of years with the steel buckle taking on a dark brown patina. Buckle has lots of wear from many years of use with its fixing prongs and catch intact with some period finish. The leather belt has lost its end ''keeper'' but is supple.
