1950's steel helmet issued to the Coventry fire brigade with close to 100% of its black finish to the outside and a partial Coventry decal to the front. WW2 Naval Casualty Medal Group. SS Ashrcrest. Cardiff Lad, Grangetown.

This little group recently turned up during a local Cardiff house clearance belonging to Henry Longhurst who was lost when the ship he served on,SS Ashcrest, was sunk in 1940 by U-140. Apparently Longhurst was from the Grangetown area of Cardiff. The medals are in nice condition, some cleaning, clean ribbons and medal entitlement slip.
